We are an established independent team of Speech and Language Therapists, with a clinic based in Orpington, Kent. We support children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication needs. We are excited to be able to offer a new role within our growing team for an enthusiastic, adaptable and committed individual to join our team.
The post holder will offer support both in our clinic base and in local schools and Early Years settings. There will also be a level of administration duties to support our Clinic Administrator and the wider Therapy Team.
The main role of the Therapy Assistant will be;
· assisting therapist with assessment and treatment plans
· delivery of treatment plans under guidance from therapist, but not always alongside the therapist
· support with admin tasks (managing enquiries, preparing training etc)
· be flexible within the needs of the service
· engage in supervision / PDR
· support and engage with external partners

The working pattern will be 22.5 hours per week, term time only. We are open to flexible working arrangements.

The post holder will offer support both in our clinic base and in local schools and Early Years settings.
The post holder will be responsible for the independent management of a clinical caseload of children in clinic, nursery and school settings; working independently with access to more senior colleagues as needed for support and supervision. The client group is children who have a range of difficulties in understanding and/or using speech and language.
The main duties and responsibilities will be;
· Work as part of the team and uphold the clinical standards and the company’s values and ethics.
· To independently manage a caseload of pre-school and school age children who have speech, language and communication difficulties.
· To undertake a range of assessments, both standardised and non-standardised, taking account of medical, social and educational factors, in order to make a differential diagnosis.
· To plan, deliver and evaluate intervention following professional guidelines and agreed service standards.
· To undertake administrative duties connected with the caseload including maintenance of case notes and provision of written reports, following service standards.

Working pattern up to 37.5 hours per week, we are open to flexible working arrangements which can be discussed at interview.
